Our take on the well-known hearty Cobb salad
Our cheeky Irish twist on the popular American Cobb salad, the freshly chopped ‘Lob the Gobb’ is a hearty and filling salad, and a little bit decadent as far as our salads go!
The Lob the Gobb
- Roast Chicken
- Cherry Tomatoes
- Feta Cheese
- Black Olives
- Dressed with our Chopped Mango & Chilli dressing
- And anchored with your leaf of choice (Iceberg or Cos leaves are the recommended options here due to their crunch and high water content).
The ‘Lob the Gobb’ is available now across all stores and for order online. This healthy and healthy bowl comes in at a 526 kcals for €7.75, and will be sure to leave you feeling full. If you cannot finish it in one go, don’t worry – if kept refrigerated, a Chopped salad can last fresh for up to 12 hours after being freshly prepared. Just make sure to give the bowl a good shake before digging in for round two!
The origins of the Cobb Salad come from the Brown Derby restaurant in Hollywood in the 1930s and was named for the restaurant’s owner Robert Cobb after he threw a bunch of leftover ingredients together late at night. It was such a hit, movie stars started requesting “Cobb’s salad”, and soon its popularity spread!
